Christmas card 4 - Santa

Hello All,

Here is another one of my christmas cards that I made.  I made it using some of the new paper I recently gotten.  It from a paper pack that I got from Micheals called Snowy Days by Recollections.  The paper has fuzzy snowflakes and I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the paper in this collection.

The santa stamp is from stampin up and I stamped using a black, then I wanted to use my glitter gel pens to colour the santa suit red.  The Joy to the World was a clearance stamp I for a 1.50 from Micheals a while ago and I was just playing around using different colour inks to see how it looked and I really like how thing one turned out.

Christmas card 3

Hello All,

Recently I have been in the christmas spirit and have been making christmas cards, tags, etc.  Some that I am giving away for christmas presents as this year I will be making most of the christmas present since my finances are really tight.

Here is another one of the cards I made.  Its one that I am not all that fond of however it started to grow on me a little.   Let me know what you think.

Card started

Hello again,

With this post I am posting a card base that I have started.. not sure what else to do with it.. however very proud of this so far. lol

I used a fancy ruler that I have from Creative Memories.. I first drew the outline of it on copy paper to make a mask... I first tried it with red on red.. however you could barely see it.. so I lined up the maske on the red then took my black pigment ink and rubbed it directly onto the page to get the effect I got.

Christmas Card - Skating Penguin

Hello All,

Sorry for another long period to update.  It has been taking me a bit to be able to finish cards.  Today I am posting another card that I made... which I think turned out great!

Here is a picture of it:

Supplies:
  • Red cardstock is from Creative Memories
  • Patterned Paper is from a K& Company Die-Cut Cardmaking pad that I cut down
  • Stamps are from Recolections stamp set from Micheals.
  • Then I add my imatation stickles to it.. lol.

Christmas Card - Snowman.

Hello Everyone!

Sorry it has been a while since I have posted I have been dealing with some family issues.   I have done a few projects and got some new stamps so I will be posting those soon.

Here is a card that I made a while ago I was going to submit it for a Peachy Keen Stamps sketch challenge however I didnt have the right scalloped edge and I was not sure if I liked it at first, then it grew on me.  Let me know what you think.

The card was made using two stamps that I got a couple years ago from Clipper Street.  The snowman is a Inkadinkado stamp, and the sentiment is called Wishing you Flourish from Heroarts.  The designer serier paper I used was Winter Wonderland from SandyLion sticker Designs.  The solid card stock is from Creative Memories that I already had in my collection from when I used to be a consultant in 2001ish.

The colour I added with some really wicked gel pens I have that I got from a Japanese Student that we hosted the summer after I graduated from High school in 2000.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE them, as they are super glittery which gives it almost like a foiled look..  Then I also used some Glitter glue which I feel is comparable to stickles however it is from studio G glitter glue that I got for $1.50 per bottle which is the same size bottle as the small stickles bottles.

Let me know what you think of this card.   I will be posting more projects soon as I have a few that I am doing for christmas presents.

Birthday Card #2

I have recently been thinking about Christmas as it is coming up soonish and then I thought I would like to go to craft fairs 1 or 2 before christmas.   It is something I think would be fun to get into rather than going just to the Abby Flea Market that I do with my mom where I sell kids clothes and she sells jewerly we both made.   Anyways I have done a couple projects this week just did not get around to posting them.   The one I am going to post was a birthday card I made for my mother-in-law to be's birthday.   It was mainly just a card face that I made out of a response card I had gotten from my sister.

Supplies:
  • 1 Cartner Response card with Envelope
  • Stamps etc, Pigment Ink : blue and Red
  • Easy Scrapbooking Design Paper
I inked the response card first with the blue, then I felt something was missing so wait for it to dry then added the red.

I then cut a peice of the blue designer paper in half as the other half had presents and I had already cut out the cupcakes from different piece of paper that I wanted to use.

I used Creative Memory Photo splits to glue down the paper and cupcakes and then made my own pop dots to pop up the Happy Birthday that I had cut out from the same page as the cup cakes.

The Easy Scrapbooking paper is really neat, as it has some patterned paper, as well as it has coordinating paper with elements that has a frame around the edge then in the middle has sentiments or elements such as the cupcakes.   ( Hope that makes sense.. if not I will have to take a picture to show you what I mean)  The year of the calendar I am using is 2008 and I had got it from a box of scrapbooking stuff that someone sold on craigslist for $20 for a small moving box full of differnet stuff.

Let me know what you think!  Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Card

Hello All,

Here is a birthday card I made for my friends birthday.  She has 30 birds give or take a few, and love them dearly as they are her children.   I was first going to make it as a just because card when she was going through a hard time, however it didn't make it to her in time, and since the only thing I had adhered was the bird I decided to finish it off as a birthday card which is coming up on the 19th.

Anyways that is all the project I have for today!

Supplies:
  • Light blue cardstock was from Creative Memories
  • White paper is just printer paper that I stamped on using a stampin up stamp Friends definition.
  • Bird cut out was a tag I got from a local craft store that I cut off the tag parts
  • Pattern Paper is from a scrapbooking calender that I got off craiglist - website for company
  • The sentiments I created myself and just printed them out.

Post-it Craft Paper

Hello All,

Just when you thought you heard it all, they come out with Post It Craft Paper.   It's basically like a big giant post it note with the whole back with removable adhesive.  I am going to look forward in seeing more projects with it, and to know if it sticks well as I know that post it notes sometimes fall off.

Post It note Website

Anyways just wanted to share that news with you all.  I am looking forward in starting my christmas cards soon.   Oooh and going to be making one of my best friends a birthday card!  Soo keep you eyes peeled for that card.

Take care all!

FREE SVG file site that I found.

Hello Everyone!

Today after I had watched all the new YouTube videos of the people to whom I subscribe to I decided I wanted to find yet more crafty videos to watch, however after watching two where the people made pumpkins, one was a 3D one using scallops foled in half then 6 glued together ( I will post a link to the Videos)  and the other was just a flat pumpkin using ovals and circles I decided to look for SVG files of pumpkins that I can cut with using the Sure Cuts A Lot software I found this AWESOME website full of free SVG file which I spend an hr or so going back on post downloading all the ones that I like or that I could do a project with I decided to share my awesome find will of you.  The web site is My Cricut Scrapbooking she also has some really good Tutorials on using Inkscape to create svg files.

I also found this blog where she makes some REALLY great cards ... it is Penny Duncan Creations

So those are my finds for today, hope you enjoy them... now time to organize all my svg files.  I will share some of the ones that I have created as soon as I get it setup.

My Dream Craft Room

I have imagined my "Dream" Craft room, and what I would want in it.   One there would be a lot of shelf space so that I can have a place to store my paper, stamps, tools, etc.   I would have a large craft table for my crafting area.  I would have a place for my cricut and of course I would have the Cricut expression that I sooo badly want.    In order to buy all the things I want would cost waaaay too much so that is where my favorite and only wood building site would come into play ... I would build a bunch of cubby shelves like this one.  (Link to site)

I would also have a corner desk against a wall so that there would be room for my computer as well as my Cricut and still be able to sure Sure Cuts A Lot, which I LOVE  as there are sooooo many svg files out there that you can get for FREE and then cut with the cricut PLUS you can make your own which I have done.

All of my craft room idea will be furniture hacks by Ana, cuz she rocks and provides you with the dimensions to build some BEAUTIFUL furniture.

Any how that is my post for today.. I may post more feel free to check out my blog favorites for there crafts... Most of which are cards, and they have some AWESOME giveaways!

Happy Blogging!

Welcome to my new Craft Blog

Hello Everyone!

I have created a new craft blog to display all of my crafty creations, and everything in between.   I am your typical Gemini in the fact that I love to do all kinds of crafts and usually have a bunch of projects on the go!  I do however have a few that I tend to gravitate towards more, which are paper crafts, and jewelry making.

I am new to both the paper crafting and jewelry making world so please bare with me as I show off my creations, and I would love to hear what other think or see things that they have made.

I am also thinking of starting something new which would be building my own furniture with help for Ana's help who has a blog Knock Off Wood.   I am eye up a craft desk they have in there as I am a mom with my daughter being just over a year old, as well as I am currently a student trying to make the best out of our crappy economy. So I will try to post something everyday or at least once per week, however it may not be a project that I have made, it may just be some of my inspiration or a cool idea that I like.

Thank You for stopping by!  Happy Blogging!
